Another very Canadian centered article...surely an article on a man who served as Lord Lieutenant of Ireland from 1905 to 1915 (a rather critical time, surely?) should have some information on that part of his life...sigh...I suppose the Canadians are proud of their governors-general, while the Irish and Indians don't care very much about their viceroys. It's too bad JTD is gone... john 06:19, 20 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Clarification needed - the brother of the prievious Earl?
When this article was created in 2003, it was tagged as having been "Adapted from http://www.gg.ca". It seems to be identical or nearly identical to the text currently published at gg.ca (under the section "The Earl of Aberdeen"). Unfortunately, the Governor General of Canada does not seem to have a compatible license ([1]), as they at least currently forbid commercial reproduction. I'm blanking as I check to see if permission has been supplied or if there are other circumstances not immediately apparent, since this article's creation predates many of the processes currently in place. --Moonriddengirl(talk)20:01, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
